Red Cross support
Red Cross announced that it will give all the necessary medical support to the competitors of SaaSaa national Olympic team during the sporting contest on the August 20 this year. Doctors from the Red Cross with first aid tool kits will be on duty all day around and might hang stay for the after party.

Saa Saaian Christmas
The Saa Saa Republic has celebrated the Saa Saaian Christmas on the 10th of December. This celebration was open to anyone holding one of 250 working visas issued to those working in professions in demand in Saa Saa. All applicants were required to present themselves at the Moscow embassy at dressed in accordance to their stated profession. Photos from this event can be viewed here.

Russia & Saa Saa have reached an agreement on cultural & military exchange
Russia & Saa Saa have reached an agreement on cultural & military exchange. The Russian Defence Department stated, «We'll do what ever it takes to access the secret military technology that makes Saa Saa such a world force.» The Saa Saaian Culture minister replied, «We'll sell whatever we have to get a truckload of Russian vodka and a pelmeni recipe»

Human development index in SaaSaa
According to the last United Nation’s report on human development, that was published in autumn 2009, Norway turned out to have the highest economic indicators (education, literacy, life expectancy, standard of living). For unknown reasons SaaSaa was not ranked in the report. Competent experts made an alternative report and it proved that SaaSaa has even higher human development index than Norway.

Multiethnic State
Democratic republic SaaSaa declared itself a multiethnic state and secured equal rights for all the citizens no matter what nationality they are reaffirming its status as a foremost liberal country with high cultural level.

No 2012 Global Cataclysm for Saa Saa Republic
Saa Saa Republic is the only country acknowledged by Hollywood to survive the world ending cataclysm in 2012. Since there was no mention in the 2012 movie about our beloved Republic, it’s safe to assume one thing: we win! This comes as a great surprise for our government who will cut the VAT tax by 50%.

Saa Saa independence has been recognized
Saa Saa independence has been recognized by the ICC (International Curling Committee) and the PPSLTO (People Should Live in Trees Organization). We’ve also been offered an open invitation to join IFL (International Foosball League).

1st working visa to Sinead O'Connor
Saa Saa has awarded its 1st working visa to Sinead O'Connor. Applications from assorted recent Somali ship owners have been rejected.
