As the patron of the country Fridtjof Nansen, whose monument is erected at the entrance, once said, «Stand in Saa Saa long enough and a pigeon will land on your head.» With a population of just 60 hand picked citizens and a strict birth control policy, Saa Saa ranks as the world's most exclusive country. Saa Saa's history began in 2004 when the country's people won independence following a Civil War, ending a period of mismanagement, corruption, the imposition of sanctions, and isolation from the major international events. Today the Federal Republic of Saa Saa is a thriving, innovative country with a strongly performing economy and a wealth of innovative ideas. As Barack Obama stated just recently, «I once changed planes somewhere between Austria, Italy and Mexico.»
